Chambrelan 2011: New Year, New Products, New Catalogue

Chambrelan are hitting the ground running with today’s announcement that over the coming months the specialist manufacturer of heavy duty slides and sliding systems are preparing to launch some major new improvements on select ranges in the first quarter, and a number of new product launches in the second quarter of the year. To inform you of our latest range we have created a new up to date technical catalogue, which can be downloaded as a pdf or ordered by following this link: www.chambrelan.com/catalog. The new catalogue covers many of the new products, but as we go forward into 2011, the facts and benefits of these product developments will be previewed and discussed in our newsletter over the coming months.

“In terms of product development,” comments Jeremy Binnington, Director of Chambrelan UK, we have been exceptionally proactive in exploring how we can improve on existing products, whilst looking at areas of our range which we believe we can add to.”

Indeed, with the launch of the new Slide and Tilt System, which was showcased at the Emergency Services Show, at the end of 2010, Chambrelan’s engineers and designers are keen to maintain the company’s commitment to constantly improve the overall quality and operation of the slides.

“All I can say at this stage,” reports Jeremy, “is that we aim to improve on existing models by developing a synchronizational mechanism, which will benefit users by its smoother extension, lower operating forces and a reduction in ball cage migration. In addition as we enter the second quarter we will be announcing the launch of a number of new products, which are still very much in the development stage, but which we should be receiving the prototypes any day now.”

In terms of commitment, Chambrelan have invested heavily in expanding its manufacturing operation, to keep up with demand from emerging markets in the US and Australasia, this investment, both in terms of time, money and personnel, has meant Chambrelan are able to respond to the growing needs of industry and automotive clients in a far more responsive way than other manufacturers of heavy duty sliding systems.

“We’re seeing emerging markets demanding more and more out of our slide. In addition we’re receiving more orders from Military applications and medical applications, both of which require stainless steel slides, for their strength and corrosive endurance and since many of these applications test our heavy duty slides to the limits we are constantly looking at new ways we can meet the testing conditions they find themselves in.”

Chambrelans
new Slam Lock

In terms of functionality this Slam Lock delivers the same high standard of locking security as existing products, the only difference being that the assembly of the locks system is now simplicity itself, saving time and money on a busy shop floor.

Another new product from Chambrelan, the Slam Lock, is set to be launched in line with a number of high profile product developments also currently being released. This latest product development aims at delivering an entire draw solution to clients, by finally being able to offer the Heavy Duty slides, the Slide and Tilt and now the Slam Lock all from one manufacturer and supplier.

Chambrelans core product range has always and will always be heavy duty sliding systems, but after listening to our customers we realised that demand existed for an alternative bundle of draw and vehicle stowage components.

The Slam Lock, which has been designed specifically to offer a more user friendly assembly, that doesn’t require the drilling of holes or countersinking by hand, but does in fact ‘clip’ together neatly and quickly without compromising on the functionality of the product.
